Fuel prices have been increasing for several weeks now, significantly affecting transport costs. From gas, which has undergone price hikes on the part of governments, to petrol and diesel prices, impacted by the fuel crisis in the UK, these increases have also impacted the air cargo sector, already hit by the decline in passenger traffic: from January to October 2021, air cargo prices rose by 19%. Despite knock-on effects on shipping costs, Italiansped is adopting multiple cost containment and optimization strategies to prevent these increases from being passed on to its customers:

• delivery cost savings, by always opting for airports as close as possible to the sender's loading point;
• preference for airlines with whom we enjoy long-standing relations in order to obtain special rates;
• use of our own shuttles to optimize every single transfer to departure hubs.
