The Caldera site, which already covers an area of 8,000 square metres, is to be extended by a further 14,000 square metres, making a total of 22,000 square metres.
The warehouse, where ITALIANSPED has been operating since 2013, is in a strategic position: it is a transit point for the airport and the inter-port of Bologna, from where many Italiansped trucks transit, and significant in optimising the movement of goods.
 

The Benefits of the Expansion

The upcoming expansion will increase the amount of space available for customers to store their products. The numerous loading docks and the expansion of the site will allow faster loading and unloading of both trucks and containers. The expansion is an opportunity to strengthen groupage services by sea, road, and air. The enlargement of the area will also allow for the introduction of new routes from the Calderara site and this will increase the number of shipments.
