Remember that for shipments valued below 6,000 euro or executed by an Authorized Exporter, a self-declaration of the origin of the goods will suffice in place of the EUR.1 certificate. Some countries (including Canada, Japan, UK and Vietnam) only accept the declaration of preferential origin on an invoice or other commercial document, compiled by an exporter registered on the REX system (Registered Exporter System), for invoices exceeding 6,000 euro.
