Thanks to this experience, ITALIANSPED recently managed a complex shipment of mining machinery, destination Peru. The shipment had been commissioned by a well-known local company that is one of the industry’s global leaders.

After leaving the Italian production-sales site, the cargo reached the port of Antwerp, Belgium, before crossing the ocean and being offloaded in Peru. On the way, the port of disembarkation was switched from Matarani to Ilo to by-pass difficulties brought about by a complicated socio-political situation.
The voyage, which also faced harsh weather, employed a specially chartered ship, 10 break bulks with goods stored in crates designed for special loads and 28 containers. In total, the shipment came to 655,000 kg and 3,000 m³. Everything was delivered to a construction site at an altitude of 2,000 meters in southern Peru, in the Quebrada Honda area.

Using leading operators, carefully selected according to the highest industry standards, our organization was able to effectively coordinate the entire shipment, providing a door-to-door service... and full customer satisfaction.
